Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Salary: will be $17.00 to $18.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
