Credentials required: The applicant should have Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination, Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Work Setting: Rehabilitation centre, Private practice

Area of Practice: Rheumatology, Neurology, Sports therapy, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Specific Skills: Assess patients’ physical abilities, Administer evaluative tests and procedures, Plan physiotherapy programs, Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations, Maintain clinical and progress reports, Confer with other health professionals

Additional Skills: Supervise technical and support staff

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Immunization records, Eligible for professional liability insurance

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use, Continuous learning
