Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Work Setting: Manufacturing plant, Custom machine shop

Type of Machine Experience: Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Type of General Machine Tools: Electrical discharge machines (EDM)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations, Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers), Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions, Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Computer use

Other Information: Must have experience with Wire EDM and Mastercam Wire. CNC milling experience would be an asset.
