Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $12.00 to $13.00 per hour for a 45 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice.

Type of Machine Experience: Conventional

Machining Tools and Machines: Planers, Sawing machines, Surface grinders

Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Callipers, Gauges

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Set up and adjust production machinery, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information

Other Information: Could be permanent for right candidate(s). Shift work (days/afts) may be required, but starting on days. Overtime may be required (50 hours/week+).
