Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $13.00 to $18.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Area of Specialization: General carpentry, Finish carpentry, Custom cabinets

Specific Skills: Determine specifications and calculate requirements, Prepare layouts, Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join mouldings, wood materials, drywall and plastics materials, Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking
