Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Refrigerated

Type of Travel: Regional

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking

Other Information: 40-50 HOURS PER WEEK.
