Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $17.00 to $18.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Membership in the Purchasing Management Association of Canada.

Purchasing Clerk Specific Skills: Verify stock availability from current inventories, Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers, Prepare purchase orders, Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and records, Complete and process international purchase orders

Additional Skills: Perform routine clerical duties, Perform various administrative functions, Provide information on materials available, Provide customer service, Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use
