Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $14.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.
Notes: piece work, and other benefits.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Canadian Welding Bureau Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, WHMIS Certificate.

Welding Techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)

Type of Machine Experience: Spot welding machines, Butt or seam resistance welding machines

Welding Positions: All positions

Materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications, Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines, Operate drill presses

Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Layout patterns

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety harness, Welding helmet

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment: At heights

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence
