Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Travel: Short-haul

Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding
