Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $20.00 per hour for a 44 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed university.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) Certification, WHMIS Certificate.

Specific Skills: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, Operate drill presses, Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding, Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal, Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment

Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Welding helmet
