Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Salary: will be $24.00 to $30.00 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Propane in Construction Record of Training, Rooftop Safety Training.

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Residential

Area of Specialization: Shingled roofs, Conventional and inverted built-up systems, Modified roofing systems, Single ply sheet membrane roofing systems

Types of shingles, tiles and pre-formed sheeting materials: Asphalt shingles, Cedar/wood shingles, Fibreglass shingles, Slate shingles, Slate tiles, Tar and gravel

Specific Skills: Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces, Troubleshoot and detect leaks, Repair or replace roofing systems

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding

Work Site Environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence
