Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $12.00 to $30.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have WHMIS, Driver’s License.

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Residential, Retail service and repair firm

Area of Installation Specialization: Interior walls and partitions, Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems, Shower doors and tub enclosures

Types of Glass / Materials: Float glass, Mirrors, Sealed units

Frame Fabrication and Installation: Entranceways

Glass Cutting Equipment and Techniques: Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts), Edge glass plates

Types of Glass Drilling Bits: Carbide and diamond bits

Specific Skills: Measure, mark and cut glass, Position and secure panes in frame, Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products

Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: On-site customer service
