Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B.

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Heat pump, Air motioning and circulation, Built up (split system), Humidification and de-humidification systems, Ventilation

Control Systems: Energy conservation, Electrical devices

Specific Skills: Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Interpret gas codes, Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Handle, recover and store refrigerants, Install, calibrate and repair control systems

Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices
