Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $13.00 to $14.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers, Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques

Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
