Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, nights, and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have some high school, completed high school, some college or technical training, completed college or technical training, some university, completed university.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Food Safe Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Work Setting: Hotel

Food Preparation Specializations: Stocks, soups and sauces, Cold kitchen (salads, appetizers, sandwiches), Vegetables, fruits, nuts and mushrooms, Meat, Poultry, Fish

Types of Meals/Food Prepared: Short orders, Breakfasts, Lunches, Dinners, Banquets, Buffet, All meals

Specific Skills: Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Work with minimal supervision, Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.), Clean kitchen and work areas
