Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $12.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, some university.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Recreational Concentration: Aquatics, Creative Play, Stories, Arts and crafts, Nature games and crafts, Games

Type of Clients: Children, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities

Work Setting: Community centre

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Leading/instructing groups

Specific Skills: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques, Instruct groups and individuals in arts and crafts, Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, Plan and carry out fitness and sports activities, Plan and carry out recreational activities, Attend to clients with special needs, Enforce safety rules and regulations, Schedule activities

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Prepare reports, Keep logs and maintain records

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Urban area

Ability to Supervise: 16-20 people

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, In/on water, Noisy
