Credentials required: The applicant should have Gas Fitter Trade Certification, Driver’s License.

Specific Skills: Determine layout of systems, Measure and mark reference points for installation, Install and maintain meters and regulators, Maintain and service heating units and components, Repair and service gas appliances, Educate clients about safety and maintenance of gas units, Install gas appliances, Start-up and adjust new or repaired equipment, Test and replace defective equipment or components

Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles
