Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and nights.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, WHMIS Certificate.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer B train

Type of Travel: Long-haul

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Location Information: Various locations

Other Information: 6 month contract. Running to Alberta and back. Experience is mandatory.
