Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $14.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Forklift Operator Certification.

Work Setting: Industrial facility

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: General office equipment, Inventory control software

Type of Equipment: Lift trucks and fork-lifts

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Type of Operation: Computerized inventory control

Specific Skills: Determine method of shipment, Schedule transportation conveyances, Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents, Assemble containers and crates, Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, Maintain internal record-keeping system, Record shortages and reject damaged goods, Route goods to appropriate storage areas, Pack goods to be shipped, Unpack goods received, Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, Oversee loading and unloading of goods

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Finding information, Computer use
