Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $28.50 to $29.50 per hour for a 48 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Hard Rock Miner Certificate.

Area of Specialization: Mining, Mine construction

Work Setting: Hard rock mine

Drilling Equipment: Jack leg drill, Stoper drill

Mining Equipment: Hydraulic self-advancing roof support, Mucking machine, Rock bolting carriage, Scoop tram

Specific Skills: Build wood and stone packs and supports, Install conveyors, ventilation and pipe extensions

Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles
