Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: General office equipment, Electronic mail, MS Word, Excel, Accounting software, Database software, Internet browser

Typing (Words Per Minute): 41 - 60 wpm

Technical Terminology: Legal, Medical

Area of Specialization: Forms and records

Specific Skills: Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents, Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries, Maintain and prepare reports from manual or electronic files, inventories, mailing lists and databases, Send and receive messages, Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, Prepare invoices and bank deposits, Provide general information to clients and the public, Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Other Information: Applicant must have extensive experience with: Legal Aid Online; billing criminal files; PC Law software. Applicant must also have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access to maintain databases.
