Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $10.50 per hour for a 25 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex, Hotel, Dormitory or residence, Office building, Commercial building, Industrial facility, Health care facility, Shopping centre, Recreational Facility

Specific Maintenance Activities: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax floors, Remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse, Empty waste containers, Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings, Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures, Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, Work with minimal supervision

Equipment Operated/Used: Industrial vacuum cleaners/power sweepers, Carpet cleaning machines, Polishing machines, Security systems, Upholstery cleaning equipment

Security and Safety: Bondable, Enhanced reliability security clearance, Criminal record check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Various locations

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing
