Experience: at least three years’ experience. Area of Scientific Specialization: Ergonomics Specific Skills: Conduct research, Advise on physical, social and psychological interrelationships between persons, their equipment and environments, Ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity and comfort, Study, evaluate and control physical, chemical, biological and ergonomics hazards and stresses in the workplace, Suggest changes to work processes, Advise clients on elements of patent law and on the patentability of inventions, Prepare patent applications, Advise on policies, Develop or administer programs related to scientific fields, Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles, Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia, Provide consulting services to government and other organizations, Use direct reading meters to measure levels of light, heat, noise and radiation, Evaluate the effectiveness of control equipment which may affect employee health, Report and document investigations and conclusions/recommendations, Prepare material safety reports, Serve as expert witnesses on health issues under litigation, Conduct cost-benefit analysis, Provide information to the public through newspaper and magazine columns, articles and radio commentaries, Establish internal programs within schools, business and industry to promote responsible attitudes towards the environment Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Fast-paced environment Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Profile: for The Job Shoppe Inc.
