Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Home care or visiting care agency

Area of Specialization: Pediatrics, Palliative care, Surgery, Public and community health

Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy

Additional Skills: Monitor patients’ progress and report any changes

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Immunization records

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Sound discrimination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Walking

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle
