Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice.

Major Work Area: Repair, Overhaul, Maintenance, Service, Recondition

Type of Equipment Repair: Diesel powered automobiles, Tractors, Combines, Harvesters, Plows, Spreaders, Planters, Sprayers, Windrowers

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools, Verify and repair emission control systems

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail

Essential Skills: Numeracy

Other Information: Agricultural and/or related experience are definite assets. Apprentices with related experience are welcome to apply.
