Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $15.00 to $30.00 per hour for a 44 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Machinist Trade Certification, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice.

Work Setting: General manufacturing

Type of Machine Experience: Conventional, Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Machining Tools and Machines: Boring machines, CNC machines, Engine lathes, Milling machines

Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Specific Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Program computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, Set up and adjust production machinery, Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
