Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $10.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)

Experience with Special Needs Children: Person with an intellectual disability

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Help children with homework, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use

Other Information: Caregiver will get 10 days paid vacation and 5 days paid sick leave yearly. $80 weekly will be deducted from salary for room and board.
