Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Centrifugal cooling, Heat pump, Filtration, Air motioning and circulation, Built up (split system), Humidification and de-humidification systems, Ventilation

Control Systems: Energy conservation, Computerized monitoring, Electrical devices, Electronic and solid state, Pneumatic devices, On-board diagnostics, Programmable logic controllers (PLC)

Specific Skills: Measure and lay out reference points for installation, Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment, Commission systems and test for leaks using testing devices, Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Interpret gas codes, Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Handle, recover and store refrigerants

Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices
