Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days and weekends.

Salary: will be $14.70 to $18.50 per hour for a 20 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Registration by a provincial or territorial, or regional association as Registered Animal Health Technologist, Registered Veterinary Technician.

Work Setting: Veterinary clinic, Animal hospital

Specific Skills: Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery, Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian, Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian, Counsel clients on animal health care, Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
