Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 Y per year for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training, completed college or technical training, some university, completed university.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Work Setting: Commercial dental laboratory, Denturist’s practice

Area of Technical Expertise: Plastering, Set-up, Waxing-up, Polishing

Area of Specialization: Full dentures, Partial dentures

Dental technologist and Technician Specific Skills: Shape impressions and reproduce dentures, Prepare and fabricate dentures, Fabricate dental devices, Repair dental devices

Laboratory Bench Worker Specific Skills: Prepare plaster models and moulds, Mould wax over packed moulds, Finish metal framework of dentures, Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays, Polish and buff dentures

Additional Skills: Maintain and order supplies

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling
