Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Association for Canadian Registered Safety Professionals Certification.

Type of Inspection and Investigation: Pollution monitoring programs, Chemical containment, Hazardous products handling and storage, Workplace, Work related accidents

Work Setting: Manufacturing and industrial plant

Specific Skills: Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products, Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards, Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses, Initiate enforcement procedures to fine or close an establishment

Additional Skills: Provide information to employers, employees and general public

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel regularly, Travel expenses paid by employer, Parking paid by employer, Public transportation is not available

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Work Location Information: Various locations, In shop

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
