Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $10.00 per hour for a 44 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years), Over 12 years

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing
