Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days and evenings.

Salary: will be $24.55 to $27.44 per hour for a 20 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma.

Work Setting: Social service agency

Target Groups or Clients: Persons with intellectual disabilities

Specific Skills: Appraise clients’ needs or eligibility for specific services, Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel regularly, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer

Essential Skills: Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Finding information, Computer use
