Terms: This is a temporary, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Type of Clients: Seniors, Persons with physical disabilities, Multi-ethnic groups

Work Setting: Nursing home

Activity Focus: Leading/instructing individuals, Leading/instructing groups, Patrolling/supervising activities

Specific Skills: Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs, Plan and carry out recreational activities, Attend to clients with special needs, Enforce safety rules and regulations, Understand principles of group dynamics, Schedule activities, Conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities

Additional Skills: Provide emergency or first aid assistance, Assist with special events, Prepare reports, Train and supervise staff, Keep logs and maintain records

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
