Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days.

Work Setting: Landscape contractor

Type of Machinery or Equipment: Chain saw, Weed trimmer/edger, Gravel or dump truck, Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment

Specific Skills: Assist with landscape constructions, Weed, prune and trim trees and plants, Rake/ collect refuse, Cart and spread topsoil and other materials, Lay sod or seed, Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, Water lawns/gardens, Construct walkways and driveways, Write daily basic progress reports

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Vehicle supplied by employer, Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle, Public transportation is not available

Work Location Information: Rural community, Various locations

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others

Other Information: Be able to work full time to the end of December. Apprenticeship program available.
