Salary: will be $13.00 to $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training. Experience: two to three years’ experience. Area of Specialization: Industrial chemistry Type of Work Experience: Analysis, Product development and formulation, Process troubleshooting, Quality assurance and control, Industrial research, Method and technique development, Technical service and marketing, Education and teaching Specific Skills: Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests and analyses, Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments, Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, Prepare solution, reagents, and sample formulations, Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results, Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis, Assist in developing and conducting sampling and analysis, Assist in developing chemical engineering processes, Assist in design and fabrication of experimental apparatus, Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colours, Sitting, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods Other Information: R&D lab technician, must have experience.
