Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed university.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.

Area of Specialization: Geotechnical

Work Experience: Design, Project management, Project planning, Installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities, Quality assurance or control, Specification or technical writing, Management and administration

Work Setting: Engineering consulting company

Specific Skills: Develop and co-ordinate programs of geotechnical, geological, geophysical or geohydrological data acquisition, analysis and mapping, Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects, Conduct studies of groundwater flow and contamination

Additional Skills: Supervise technologists, technicians and other engineers and scientists

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines

Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Willing to travel, Travel expenses paid by employer

Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less

Work Location Information: Urban area, Rural area
