Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have St. John’s Ambulance First-Aid Certificate, Canadian Red Cross First-Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, Emergency First Response Course, Driver’s licence.

Driver’s Record: Driver’s abstract

Work Setting: Private ambulance company

Specific Skills: Transport patients to hospital or other medical facility for further medical care, Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence
