Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice.

Tool and Die Fabrication Experience: Gauges or instruments, Jigs and fixtures, Metal cutting, forming or bending dies

Metal Mould-Making Experience: Injection moulds, Rotational moulds

Specific Skills: Machine tools to close tolerances, Verify dimensions of machine parts, Machine, fit and assemble parts, Set up machine tools, Program and set up numerically controlled machines, Set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM)

Additional Skills: Read blueprint, schemas and drawings

Security and Safety: Bondable

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Work Location Information: In shop
