Terms: This is a temporary, part time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: the best part of a year.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Private home

Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Children, Adolescents, Seniors, Families, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Persons with learning disabilities

Specific Skills: Provide personal services support to persons with special needs, Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients, Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs

Security and Safety: Bondable

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Urban area

Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: (DSW) supports individuals with a range of physical, mental and/or developmental abilities to enhance their ability to function within all aspects of community living. A DSW Diploma is required

Languages: Other than English, the applicant should speak French.
