Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification.

Area of Specialization: Fabricating machine parts, Troubleshooting, Specialty welding

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Install machinery and mechanical equipment, Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, Perform routine maintenance work on machinery

Additional Skills: Coach and instruct apprentices, Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning

Other Information: Only candidates who have a Red Seal Millwright certificate and a minimum of five (5) years of on the job industrial Mechanical Millwright experience will be considered. All others need not apply.
