Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Salary: will be $10.25 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: the best part of a year.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Help children with homework, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Computer use
