Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training, some university.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Work Setting: Government records department

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: WordPerfect, MS Word, Lotus 123, Excel, Dbase, Computer assisted records management systems

Typing (Words Per Minute): 0 - 40 wpm

Records Clerk Specific Skills: Classify and code documents, Cross-reference and store records, Compile statistics and reports

File Clerk Specific Skills: Sort material for filing, File material in storage area, Locate and remove files requested, Keep records of materials filed and removed

Additional Skills: Label, file and retrieve documents, Respond to requests for records, Label files according to retention and disposal schedules, Prepare files for disposal, Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying

Security and Safety: Secret clearance

Essential Skills: Writing, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Computer use

Languages: Other than English, the applicant should speak French, read French, write French.
