Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $14.00 per hour for a 20 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Newborn, Infant (3 months - 11 months), Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home, Home care or visiting agency

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Driver’s validity licence check

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel regularly, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
