Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Major Work Area: New construction (Not pre-engineered)

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Industrial

Area of Specialization: Erect structural steel, Assemble and erect metal buildings

Specific Skills: Align, weld or bolt units in place, Work at heights and in confined areas

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Supervise other workers

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety harness

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel

Other Information: Current CWB tickets an asset, able to work with minimal direction or on own, must be able to read blueprints. Supervisory skill an asset.
