Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days and evenings. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $14.00 to $18.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: a modicum is required.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Driver’s License (Class 3 or D).

Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Backhoe excavator, loader

Type of Work Experience: Sloping and banking, Backfilling, Ditching, Excavating, Rough grading, Trenching, Material handling, Slope grooming

Specific Skills: Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment

Additional Skills: Utilize GPS devices (Global Positioning Systems), Complete onboard and other logs, Prepare accident reports

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Various locations

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: Sign Installation business located in North Bay. Regular 35-44 hours per week includes regular travel to installation sites with occasional overnight trips. Experience with Septic Systems an asset.
