Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.
Also: group insurance benefits.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System), Forklift Operator Certification.

Specific Skills: Inspect and review for quality control and environmental standards, Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of workers

Additional Skills: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions, Knowledge of labour relations, Health and safety regulations, Knowledge of preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment

Security and Safety: Criminal record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail

Work Site Environment: Dusty

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is not available

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use

Other Information: Responsibilities: Supervision of recycling plant employees on sorting lines. Must have:min 5-10 yrs supv. exp. in unionized environment. Tues. - Sat. 6AM - 2:30PM, minimum 40 hrs.
