Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B.

Major Work Area: Construction, Installation, Maintenance, Service, Repair, Commercial, Residential

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Rooftop (self-contained), Heat pump, Ventilation

Specific Skills: Measure and lay out reference points for installation, Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment, Commission systems and test for leaks using testing devices, Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Interpret gas codes, Handle, recover and store refrigerants

Additional Skills: Customer service oriented

Security and Safety: Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: On-site customer service
