Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be per for a 50 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate.

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Critical thinking, Finding information
