Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $14.00 to $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Welder Trade Certification, Canadian Welding Bureau Certification, CADD Course.

Type of Machine Experience: Spot welding machines, Butt or seam resistance welding machines, Gas welding machines

Welding Positions: Flat, Horizontal, Vertical

Materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals

Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Specific Skills: Interpret welding process specifications, Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding, Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products

Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, Layout patterns, Polish sheet metal

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
